4.4 hectares of preserved nature The castle park

A generous natural setting
An exceptional park where nature and heritage blend with elegance

The park of Château de l'Abbatiale is one of the estate’s most valuable assets. Across 4.4 hectares, nature unfolds generously: lawns, wooded areas, a pond with its wooden bridge, and at the foot of the château, a giant sequoia whose impressive silhouette dominates the landscape from both the bedrooms and the reception rooms.

A direct view of Saint-Yved Abbey: the setting speaks for itself. Built heritage and natural surroundings come together in harmony, inviting contemplation.

The park is well-oriented, carefully maintained, and home to a few permanent residents that add a warm, countryside and family touch to the estate.

An outdoor space for your events
An open and flexible setting for open-air receptions

The 165 m² south-facing terrace and the adjoining park can host cocktails and garden parties for up to 300 guests, symbolic ceremonies, seminars, outdoor team-building activities, as well as photo sessions and shoots for both private individuals and professionals. We also host public events here as part of our agreement with the town of Braine.

The château and pathways lighting at night create a unique atmosphere at dusk, perfect for extending your outdoor events. The park can also accommodate temporary structures if needed to increase capacity.

An open natural space for the public
Preserved nature, shared with respect and discretion

Fully involved in the life of the town of Braine, the château opens the lower part of its park to the public on certain days for self-guided visits. This area of the park is a wet woodland zone around the pond, bordered by the Vesle river.

A walk around the pond never loses its charm, in the shade of the tall trees. The environment remains entirely preserved and authentic.

Our role is simply to maintain this environment and facilitate access for our visitors. This approach is non-invasive for nature and aligns with the core principles of sustainable development.

Ambitions for a sustainable future
Sustainable development serving a vibrant and committed destination

The development of Château de l'Abbatiale includes new complementary landscaping, the creation of a greenhouse and a vegetable garden, as well as relaxation areas and nature-based activities. Biodiversity is at the heart of the estate’s operations and the decisions guiding its management.

A wellness and spa area, a guest house and a leisure space will soon be developed within existing outbuildings, without any new construction. A way to further anchor Château de l'Abbatiale in its role as a green tourism destination in the Hauts-de-France region.
